Objectives and Target Groups
The main objective of UNIGreen is to support higher education institutions in the Western Balkans in integrating sustainability into their governance, administrative practices, and academic programmes. The project aims to strengthen institutional capacities, promote green education, and foster cooperation between universities, industry, and society in line with European and global sustainability priorities.
UNIGreen primarily targets university management, administrative and academic staff, and students. Through improved policies, modernized curricula, and capacity-building activities, the project also indirectly benefits employers in green sectors, public institutions, civil society organisations, and local communities by supporting sustainable development and green employment opportunities.
